In May of this year hemp farmers planted several pilot crops of industrial hemp at Kentucky state universities and elsewhere, which marks the first time the plant has been legally sewed in the state since the 1970s.  The seeds were the object of a skirmish between the federal Drug Enforcement Agency and the state of Kentucky, a battle the state ultimately won in their attempt to import seeds from Italy, and now those initial crops have been harvested.  Josh Hendrix, President and founder of the Kentucky Hemp Industries Association, toured the state at harvest time and spoke with CRN’s Brian Bahouth about his experiences and the future of hemp in Kentucky …
